Sophisticated mowers for quality silage!
The quality of silage has always been the starting point for the
development of Lely machines. Mowing is one of the most important
links in the silage process chain. Therefore every possible effort
has been made to ensure an excellent mowing performance of
Splendimo L/LC disc mowers.
Excellent mowing
An excellent mowing pattern is achieved by the oval shaped discs
with their large overlap and heavy duty, specially shaped knives.
Even in the heaviest crops, they leave an evenly mown finish behind
while generating an even flow of grass over the entire width of the
cutter bar.
Optimum protection
All Splendimo L/LC mowers are designed for working under tough
conditions. The overall machine design represents an ultimate
balance between rigidity and flexibility:
- Driven by strong yet shock absorbing V-belts.
- The tough drive shaft in the cutter bar is able to flex.
- Reliable break back device.
- Overrun + torque limitation clutch in PTO.
- Oval discs allow free passage of foreign objects.
- Special skids for optimum cutter bar protection
- Wear plates available for stony conditions
Splendimo mowers have built a world wide reputation as reliable
partners even in the most demanding field conditions.
Mowing slopes and hedges
The Splendimo mower features a modular cutter bar. Every individual
disc drive unit is packed with grease and sealed ensuring
continuous lubrication and cooling irrespective of the inclination
of the cutter bar. The grease does not flow to the lowest point of
the cutter bar. Therefore Splendimo mowers are capable of mowing
steep slopes and even hedges.
Ground contour following
Good ground contour following is very important. Therefore all
Splendimo mowers are designed to follow the ground contours in the
best possible way.
- Floating cutter bar with optimum spring suspension to ensure an
even weight distribution.
- Compact cutter bar, so improved following of the ground.
- Specially designed skids for a smooth run over the ground and
protection of the turf.
These features ensure a high quality of cut with Splendimo mowers
even in the most uneven fields.
High capacity conditioner
The conditioner unit of the Splendimo LC covers almost the full
working width giving the conditioner a huge capacity. By adjusting
the crop inlet plate the intensity of the conditioner can be set.
In this way an effective conditioning is possible in all
conditions. The specially shaped flails are made of extremely
strong synthetic material.
